- Nsob Raphael Martial has committed to a two-year developmental engagement with ISOHSA
- The defender signed up for the club last week in company of his father for the first time
- Martial will complement Tebug Kingsley, Kouo Gnongnong and three others in the central defensive role as the club plan to have six going into the new season
Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have completed the signing of talented teenage defender Nsob Raphael Martial from Victoria City FC, kick442.com can exclusively report.
We understand the 18-year-old former captain of Victoria City joined the club late last week on a two-year contract with an option for an additional year.
The move marks an end to a period of speculation and uncertainty for the player who led Bonadikombo FC of Mile to a runners up position during the last edition of the Limbe City Council Interquarters, during which he was scouted by coach Mbock Maput of ISOHSA and many other coaches representing the interest of other clubs.
Though it is his maiden campaign in the Elite Two championship, the central defender with a commanding presence and a great aerial strength is expected to add value to the ISOHSA backline that have Kouo Gnongnong and Tengah Kingsley going into the new season.
Martial will join the rest of the squad guided by coach Mbock Maput when training resumes for the new season on Monday September 23 without Arrey Oduak Jefta and Simo Gedeon who are away with the U-20 Lions preparing for the Union of Central African Football Federation (UNIFFAC) zonal tournament in Congo.
Everything being equal, the club could announce his arrival one of these days. When that will be done, he will join the likes of Ngai Eba Emile, Che Randy, Sawai Kelly and Talikong Elwood Bantar on the list of new signings the club already announced in the past days.
ISOHSA are preparing for their second season in the MTN Elite Two championship having raised the bar very high in their debut campaign with a top of the table finish in the relegation playoffs and reached the semi-final of the cup of Cameroon.
The 2023 national interpools champions will participate in the 17 clubs MTN Elite Two championship expected to begin in late October or early November.
