French second tier championship side En Avant Guingamp have completed the signing of talented teenage Cameroonian goalkeeper, Ambassa Messobo Frank from APEJES of Mfou in Cameroon.
The 18-year-old member of the 2021 golden generation of the U-17 Lions assembled by coach Anicet Mbarga has joined the 2014 Coupe de France winners on a three-year contract after a conclusion of an impressive tryout stint.
Upon the decision to contract him, Ambassa completed a series medical and administrative formalities to be cleared for registration and transfer from APEJES of Mfou that included a future sales clause.
Ambassa spent six years at APEJES of Mfou during which he earned calls up to the U-17, U-20, U-23 and Intermediate national teams. Though he didn’t get games in the U-17 category, he was a key player for the U-20s; helping his country claim gold medal in the 2023 All Africa games in Kinshasa.
In Ambassa, the 1996 UEFA Intertoto winners have a young player they can mould into a great keeper in the nearest future.
Ambassa who spent three seasons in the Elite One championship before unfortunately seeing APEJES descent to the Elite Two championship will be missed in the domestic championship.
