Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have officially revealed plans to the open a football Academy in Casablanca, Morocco, from  September 2024.

According to club sources, the academy will be situated in Tamaris, a prime location that boasts state-of-the-art training facilities designed to provide aspiring footballers with the best possible environment for their development. With a focus on skill enhancement, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning, the PSG Academy aims to cultivate the next generation of football stars.

In a statement on the club’s official website, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi expressed his enthusiasm for this new venture

“The links between Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco have always been marked by a shared passion for football. The presence of Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi in the Parisian ranks illustrates this deep connection between the country and the Club,” he said.

Hakimi, who has become a fan favorite since joining PSG, serves as a testament to the club’s ongoing relationship with Moroccan talent.

This announcement follows the successful launch of PSG’s first academy in Rabat, which opened earlier this year. The Rabat academy has already begun to make waves in the local football community, attracting young players eager to learn from the club’s renowned coaching staff and benefit from its extensive resources.

The Casablanca academy will be the second PSG youth development center in Morocco, with plans for a third academy in Ryad Andalouss set to open on October 21.

The establishment of these academies is part of PSG’s broader strategy to expand its global footprint and engage with fans and players around the world. By investing in youth development in Morocco, PSG aims to harness the country’s rich footballing culture and produce homegrown talent that could one day represent both club and country on the international stage.

The PSG Academy in Casablanca will offer a comprehensive training program that emphasizes not only technical skills but also the importance of education and personal development.

Young athletes will receive guidance from experienced coaches, many of whom have played at professional levels, ensuring that they are well-prepared for the challenges of competitive football.

In addition to football training, the academy will foster a sense of community and teamwork among its participants, instilling values that extend beyond the pitch. This holistic approach aims to develop well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society, regardless of whether they pursue a professional football career.
