- He returned to training this Monday
Simba SC’s Cameroonian defender, Che Malone Fondoh Junior returned to first team training this Monday September 25, a day after he was involved in a car crash and escaped unhurt.
There was total panic among Simba SC faithfuls and back in Cameroon when reports emerged that Che had been involved in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday.
However, as his club revealed hours later; “He is safe and will be training tomorrow to prepare for the upcoming CAF Champions League game against Power Dynamos.”
A club statement corroborated with Emergency services at the site that initially confirmed there were no major injuries, but declared the care undrivable.
The 24-year-old received medical clearance to return to training. So he was back at work this morning, to the relief of many.
Che joined the rest of his mates in training under the guidance of coach Robertino as they prepare for upcoming commitments.
Che, who has spent the past two seasons at Cotonsport and won everything, before switching to Simba SC was enjoying a good start to his time in Tanzanian football. He has helped his club achieve some telling results so far.
The presence of Che is music in the ears of coach Robertino at the moment as Che’s primary defensive partner, Henock Inonga picked up a bad injury during their last league game this week against Coastal Union.
Simba SC will have Power Dynamos as guests in the return-leg of the CAF Champions League preliminaries on Sunday at the Azam Complex in Chamazi. The former Union Sportive of Douala and Continental of Buea defender will certainly be in contention for that.
