  • The 2024 national interpools will start on July 1 and run till the 15th of the month
  • Southwest and West Regional champions have been paired in the same pool like last year just like Northwest Littoral Regions
  • Yaoundé will hosts the competition again

The draw of the 2024 National playoffs for promotion to the MTN Elite Two championship (Interpools) have produced some exciting setting following the exercise carried out this Friday, June 28 at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football federation (FECAFOOT).

The draw procedure managed by the competitions department pitted the Northwest and Littoral Regions in the same group again as it was in the 2023 edition of the competition. They are in Group A, alongside representatives of the Far North, Center and East Regions.

The exciting Group B puts together representatives of the Southwest Region (either Buea United FC or Best Stars Academy), South Region, Adamawa and West Region to be represented by Volcan of Noun for the second year running.

Organizers of the draw procedure announced at the end of the process that the competition will be organized in the Center Region of the country for the second year running.

This time around, the interpools is expected to run from July 1 to 15 in a group format though a quorum of the regions are still working to get their champions this weekend.

If last year’s format is maintained when the competition’s regulations are published, the top two clubs from each Pool will qualify for the semi-final of the competition. The winners of the semi-final will earn direct promotion to the second tier championship even before the final to decide the champions of amateur football for 2024.

Last season’s competition saw surprised package ISOHSA of Limbe emerge champions after a run of four wins and two draws in six games while Bafmeng United FA finished runner-up after losing the final 0-2.
